Mountain biking on Lido di Venezia
Welcome! ZohanTeam MTB is an amateur mountain biking club based at the Lido di Venezia, Italy. Founded in 2009 and affiliated to UISP, we ride the Venetian lagoon, the Euganean and Berici hills, the Dolomites and everything in between.

For visitors
Riding in Venice sounds odd — most people arrive by boat. But the Lido is a 12 km barrier island with real roads, flat gravel tracks through the pine forest, and direct ferry links to the mainland trails. If you're in town for a few days and want to keep pedalling, here's what to know.
The Lido itself
- Pineta degli Alberoni — pine forest with easy gravel loops at the southern tip of the island. Family-friendly, ~10 km of trails.
- ZohanPark — our members-only pump track and skills area, built by hand since 2022. Visitors are welcome to come and watch.
- Murazzi sea wall — paved promenade along the Adriatic, perfect for an easy warm-up or sunset spin.
Getting to the mainland
The ferry from Lido (San Nicolò) to Punta Sabbioni takes ~20 min and puts you on the Litoranea del Cavallino, with easy gravel routes toward the Piave river. Bikes travel for free outside peak hours.
From the mainland, the Treviso Prealps (Montello, Valdobbiadene, Cansiglio) are a 1-hour drive and offer some of the best MTB terrain in northern Italy.
Ride with us
We run Sunday morning group rides year-round, usually 40–80 km with moderate climbs. All skill levels welcome — we split into groups by pace. Rides are posted on our Facebook page mid-week.
Practical info
Italian, but most of us speak enough English to give directions and swap tire pressures.
Standard city bikes are easy to rent on the Lido; for proper MTB / gravel rigs the nearest options are on the mainland (Mestre / Treviso).
Our base is at the Lu.Ma. in Lido di Venezia. Drop us a mail a few days before your visit and we'll coordinate.

Founded 2009 (originally motocross, pivoted to MTB in 2015 under coordinator Luca Perini), ~40 active members, mixed ages including kids who ride with their parents. We're a small club by design: the goal is good riding with people you know, not scale.
